In this section you can configure various forwarding and default-address options. You can prevent mail sent to non-existent addresses on your hosted domain from accumulating, forward unmatched mail to another email address, configure rejection notices and more.
1) In cPanel, open Default Address in the Email section.
2) If several domains are hosted in the same account, select the domain you want to configure.
3) You can reject mail sent to non-existent addresses with an SMTP error message, or forward such mail to an existing email address. If a real mailbox with the same address exists in cPanel, mail is delivered to that mailbox normally.
4) Under Advanced Options you can also silently discard such messages or pipe them to a custom program.
5) Click Change to save the setting.
Recommendation: We recommend rejecting mail sent to non-existent addresses. Otherwise invalid mail can accumulate in the default mailbox and consume disk space.
